How Does the Anacostia River Score?

We analyzed the water quality data for four specific parameters to measure how fishable and swimmable the Anacostia River is. Specifically, we analyzed how well Water Quality Standards were met in three sections of the of the tidal Anacostia River:

1. MD Anacostia - the Maryland portion of the Anacostia,
2. Upper DC Anacostia - the upper half portion of the Anacostia in DC,
3. Lower DC Anacostia - the lower portion of the Anacostia in DC. 

Each section only met DC Water Quality Standards 65% of the time on average.
