Beginning May 2019 Anacostia Riverkeeper, with the help of citizens across all of DC, will lead a coalition of partner organizations in conducting weekly water quality monitoring in DC waters. From the Anacostia River to the Potomac and Rock Creek volunteers from all parts of the District can sign up to help us monitor, transport samples, or conduct recreational surveys. You choose your commitment!

Volunteer monitors will need to attend one training sessions to be certified for this project. This training is the last one for the 2019 monitoring season as monitoring ends the week of September 9th.
