Suzy has over 25 years of experience working with environmental groups and sustainability issues. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Suzy has served on the Boards of Earth Conservation Corps and the MidAtlantic Tennis Foundation and is the founder of LEEDAdvisors.

Trey Sherard

Riverkeeper

Our Riverkeeper, Trey, leads our advocacy and outreach work to restore and connect people to the Anacostia River. He heads programs including Anacostia River Explorer boat tours and Friday Night Fishing. He has been at ARK for 12 years and is a Licensed Mariner (USCG 100 GT for inland waters). He serves as DC Vice-Chair of the Anacostia Watershed Community Advisory Committee and serves on Mayor Bowser's Leadership Council for a Cleaner Anacostia River.

Quinn Molner

Director of Operations

Our Director of Operations, Quinn, has been working for Anacostia Riverkeeper for over 5 years across multiple roles.Currently, she manages the Clean Waterways trash cleanups program, oversees scheduling and logistics across all watershed programs, and develops communication and outreach materials. She is a graduate from the George Washington University.

Maureen Mitchell

Watershed Program Manager

Maureen works as our Program Manager of the Water Quality monitoring programs in DC and Maryland. She also manages our environmental education materials for all ages. Before joining ARK, Maureen earned her M.S. in wildlife sciences and worked for eight years as a middle school science teacher in DC Public Schools.

Water Quality Coordinator

Petra manages our volunteer water quality monitoring programs, communications materials, and is one of our boat tour captains. She is passionate about environmental justice and science communication and is a graduate from Williams College, where she studied chemistry and environmental studies.

McKenzie Ingram

McKenzie Ingram

Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator

McKenzie coordinates outreach events ranging from Anacostia River Explorers boat hours, Friday Night Fishing, Clean Waterways trash cleanups and more. McKenzie is pursuing her Masters in Environment Science at American University.

Claire Barlow

Water Quality Associate

Claire is a graduate student at the University of Maryland pursuing her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. She is working with Anacostia Riverkeeper this summer to help with water quality monitoring. Her interests include infectious disease, water-borne pathogens, and the intersection of water quality and mental health.

Robbie O'Donnell

Special Projects Manager

Robbie is a coastal scientist and photographer with an M.S. in Marine Science from UNC Wilmington. In addition to his work here on the Anacostia, he has research and work experience on the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers and in coastal North Carolina and the Pacific Northwest.

Her expertise is in environmental performance and advocacy, sustainable planning, green building, and LEED Existing Buildings (LEED EB) certification, as well as project management and strategic planning. Suzy has over 25 years experience working with environmental groups and with sustainability issues. Graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, served on the Boards of Earth Conservation Corps and the MidAtlantic Tennis Foundation.

Judson “Jud” Hill, Treasurer, is a private equity and investment banking executive in the water sector who co-founded an investment firm titled Ecological Service Partners. His investment-banking activities include water technology/services and water utilities. Mr. Hill also has 15 years of operational management experience including designing, building and operating wastewater reclamation facilities for both municipal and industrial applications, as well as numerous product launches in ozonation, ultraviolet disinfection, and desalination.

As Governor of Maryland (January 18, 1995 to January 15, 2003), he was well known for his environmental initiatives.

Jordan Maitland is an Executive at Hakluyt and Company in the Washington, DC office. He advises decision makers at Fortune 500 companies and leading private equity firms on the opportunities and risks facing their businesses. Prior to Hakluyt, he lived in Indianapolis, IN and worked at Eli Lilly and Company in a variety of public policy roles focused on drug development, access, and reimbursement-related policy issues. He has a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.

A Human Rights advocate for over 40 years, Mrs. Kennedy is Founder and current Board member of The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Foundation, today the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. The organization is a nonprofit charitable organization that works to realize Robert F. Kennedy’s dream of a peaceful and just world. For over 15 years, she has also been a driving environmental force in Washington, DC, advocating for the protection and improvement of the Anacostia River and its environment.
