Ride For The River

 

Ride for the River is a fun, noncompetitive bike ride and post-ride beer garden festival to raise awareness about the Anacostia River and its challenges, highlighting Anacostia Riverkeeper’s role in protecting this important resource.  Ride and post-ride festival will provide river education and community building as well as a fundraising opportunity for ARK. Beer tasting, non-alcoholic refreshments and light fare provided after the ride concludes.

Date and Time:          Saturday, October 3, 12:00-4:00.

Location:                    Atlas Brew Works Bridge District (Immediately across from Frederick Douglas Bridge in Anacostia – Easy access to Anacostia River Trail, and perfect for post-ride festival).

Route:                         Atlas Bridge District to Bladensburg Water Park and return, a roughly 16-mile ride that covers the main stem of the Anacostia River. Turnaround points included for those needing shorter routes.
